Well, 2014....here we sit.
Actually, 2013 really wasn't a bad year for me. It just took time to reset a lot of things in my life.
...but don't worry, I didn't lose my sense of humor along the way....
I've been spending a lot of time reminding myself about all of the creative energy that I used to have at my command when I was deeply involved in martial arts and fitness. I stepped away from all that in order to spend more time with my family and reset my priorities.
Well, I'm here to tell ya that I'm finally emerging from all that. Life is good again.
Anyway, its all about balance folks.....
So where is this blog going? Well, for one, the humor factor stays. You can also look for more recipes, as part of a pet project of mine (I'm doing a cook book). I'm also going to start posting advice to my kids.
I mean, a guy's gotta leave some kind of legacy for his children, y'know....
So anyway, I'm putting itself back on track, so hang on....
I didn't win the mega millions jackpot. I gotta go to work.
Don't get me wrong, folks, life is still good....really good.
1 large potato, diced
3 eggs
1/2 cup of Guidry's Creole Seasoning
Leftover Thanksgiving ham (as much as you want)
Seasoning to taste
Shredded cheese
Making a skillet starts off by making hash browns. This one was no different. Since there was no bacon in this one and the ham was already cooked, I put it in near last after dicing just to warm it. I also added chopped spinach and mozzarella cheese to garnish. This goes wonderfully as a quick pita bread breakfast!
Does anyone out there blog almost exclusively from your cell phone? I'm thinking about giving it a whirl.
Honestly, since retiring from karate I spend a considerable amount of time behind a computer. When I'm not working, typing at a desk is the last thing I feel like doing.
I'd much rather do life and narrate it along the way, donchathink?
